How about this one, a haunted house style attraction with people all dressed up jumping out and scaring the clean sh*t out of you while you walk around an (allegedly) haunted Victorian prison at night! I already have my tickets and an extra pair of trousers bought. Christopher J Caldwell. I enjoy wrestling, films and nautical adventure. I've just finished making a short film which you can see here. North·ern Vi·raland Noun A made up term to discribe viral content from (Northern) Ireland Anyone will know that in the past few months, little Hannah Montana has evolved into a fully grown Miley Cyrus and is celebrating by asserting all of her new found feminine whiles all at once (by swinging around naked on a wrecking ball and licking things, a lot). But what has this got to do with our beautiful little land mass, I hear you ask! Well, Ireland's favourite controversial singer- song writer Sinead O'Connor has offered the troubled star a word of advice, in the form of two open letters (yes, two). These letters have been all over the media, purely because the whole thing is so absurd. Here's an extract of the first letter: "The music business doesn’t give a sh– about you, or any of us. They will prostitute you for all you are worth, and cleverly make you think its what YOU wanted.. and when you end up in rehab as a result of being prostituted, “they” will be sunning themselves on their yachts in Antigua, which they bought by selling your body and you will find yourself very alone." Sinead is currently on her 5th open letter that You can read right here here. Might be easier to check out this mash-up for wrecking ball and Nothing Compares to you. To see more of Neil’s work click here Because we're such keen bunnies we arrived at Oktoberfest at the Kings Hall just as it opened at 5pm. We paid the £3 entry and bought a few tokens for Litre steins of beer (£9.50) and made our way into a fairly empty but impressive hall. Massive Pauliner (German beer) banners lined the ceiling and every wall was covered in an OKTOBERFEST banner. Soon our "Heidi" girl was over and came back with massive (and heavy) steins of the special OKTOBERFEST beer. It's really impressive to see some of these girls carrying upto 6 of these about! We needn't have worried about the hall filling up, within the hour it was almost full! Shortly after 6pm The Belfast Bavarian Strollers Oompah band came out resplendent in their lederhosen and this is when the party really got started. Slapping hand dances, calls of "Ein Prosit!" and drinking games all ensued. We snuck out to taste the traditional Bratwurst sausages from the stall outside. These were delicious and helped stave off the inevitable drunkenness that at 6% beer will bring about. Not too long after though things got hazy and all that can be remembered is dancing on benches (and being told to get down), singing along and having a laugh. Until next year Oktoberfest "PROST!" It seems that BELFAST OKTOBERFEST was such a success that they're putting on a special Halloween edition. What this will entail we're not sure but if you fancy some delicious Germanic beers and spooky fun there are worse ways to spend Halloween! Who wrote thisChris Caldwell

This time it's the beer festival that's not allowed to have beer! Councillor Junior McCrum "Does everything have to revolve around drink?" Well Councillor Junior McCrum I would say when it's a beer festival then it does have to revolve around drink, yes. But alas the Banbridge wans weren't allowed a swall at the beer festival and the whole thing had to be cancelled. Great for tourism and great for Banbridge. We'll be up at the Belfast Oktoberfest this weekend (which thankfully is allowed to serve beer) and we'll have a review on Monday. Well what we can remember from it anyway. You'll see me out and about eating or drinking. Sometimes even both. In a piece of what can only be described as lazy journalism, this week I'm giving you my picks for the Belfast Festival at Queens. This is the 51st edition of the Arts festival and It’s Ireland’s biggest festival of its kind, with 74 events and 132 performers taking part, it also attracts 60,000 people from round the globe to Belfast. Here's our top 5, we've included links for each one so you can read more about it and book tickets if it tickles your fancy. Theatre Bullet catch This looks like a fascinating mix between drama and magic. I love magic and have always been fascinated by this trick, although in my opinion Penn & Teller do the best version. Film Brick True modern day film noir featuring Robin himself Joseph Gordon-Levitt. This has twists and turns and even it's own secret lingo, a great directorial debut from Rian Johnson. Dance Porous by Maiden Voyage FREE EVENT exploring the relationship between bodies and buildings. Dance in contemporary settings that's asking questions can be very eye opening or completely baffling, im hoping this is the first. Currently, this is probably the most photographed builing in Belfast, and not without good reason, it's a beautiful piece of architecture. The architecture borrows from the shipbuilding heritage incorporating design features of the Titanic ship herself. Each time I visit this site the appearance is always different reflecting the changing weather over Belfast Lough.
