We chose from their set menu which was 3 courses and a bottle of wine for two people for £55, but there were also drinkless options of 2 courses for £16.95 or 3 for £19.95 (available Sunday - Friday 5pm - 10pm), which isn't too shabby at all.
Next up was the main course, the Fish of the Day was sea bass, which again was cooked perfectly. Most of our group chose the Breast of Chicken which was a work of art, served with butternut squash puree and dauphinoise potatoes.
For dessert I would definitely recommend the Chocolate Delice which was absolutely amazing, or the Baked Croissant for something a little different. The meal was delicious and light and definitely something worth coming back for again and again - it's rare that you get food of this standard for such a good price.
As we finished our main meal around 9pm, the band struck up on stage, playing some Peggy Lee and Etta James classics, along with Ella Fitzgerald and of course, Louis Armstrong. They even paused to sing happy birthday to someone at the next table, while the staff presented him with a candle-clad cupcake. All in all it was a great, relaxed night out!
Hey Bert...?
I'm 20 years old, studying Journalism with Photo-Imaging at the University of Ulster Coleraine Campus. I have an undying love for Belfast and all that it has to offer, an undying love for sleeping, Tegan and Sara, trashy tv shows, foreign snack-foods and being irresponsible with money. I also quite like origami, reading, jazz, hip-hop, dubstep, anything acoustic and Food Network TV.
