With musical roots in blues, grunge and metal, alongside the more predictable dubstep influences of Caspa, Skrillex and Aphex Twin, it’s clear that Kuki 久喜 isn’t just generic dubstep or EDM. If you want to have a listen for yourself, go here.
Reach For (All My Dreams) is another one that will get stuck in your head, it’s laidback, smooth and sounds a bit like something you’d hear sampled in a more mainstream track. I Wait is a classic dubstep track, fast paced, relentless, choppy and with some nice heavy electronic moments that get your heart racing and your body moving.
With an almost 100% Asian image, Northern Irish producer Michael makes the music, while the face of Kuki 久喜 itself is a Japanese influenced model also from Limavady. This Asian image ties in with the name, Kuki 久喜which means ‘stems’ in Japanese – a nod to the sampling and mixing of the electronic world.
Kuki 久喜 are new, different and definitely about to go far, so I urge you to jump on the bandwagon before you get left behind!

I'm 20 years old, studying Journalism with Photo-Imaging at the University of Ulster, Coleraine Campus. I have an undying love for Belfast and all that it has to offer, an undying love for sleeping, Tegan and Sara, Brand New, trashy tv shows, foreign snack-foods and being irresponsible with money. I also quite like origami, reading, hip-hop, dubstep, anything acoustic and Food Network TV.
